The Loctite® External Mix Assembly, item # 1095801 is designed for positioning two (2) separate dispense valves (sold separately) in proper alignment for high-speed dispensing of a 2-part, externally mixed adhesive without the use of a static mix nozzle. Currently Loctite® 3060 is an example of the adhesive that requires this External Mix Assembly unit for dispensing. Each part of the acrylic adhesive (Part A and Part B) is loaded into separate reservoirs that will deliver the adhesive component to each separate dispense valve. Upon activation of a start signal (external or footswitch), both valves open simultaneously and the adhesives are dispensed downward forming a stream of adhesive. The design of the Assembly is such that it allows for easy positioning of the valves to ensure proper alignment over the desired location.
The Loctite® External Mix Assembly has an incorporated needle tip locator which aids in aligning dispensed product streams while reducing effects of minor impacts to tip alignment. Three pairs of bushings (14, 15, & 18 gauge) are included for use in the tip locator to accommodate 1 inch or 1½ inch long stainless steel dispense tips for further dispense precision accuracy. Loctite® Stationary Applicator Valves 97113, 97114 or 986300, or 982621 can be used with the Loctite® External Mix Assembly by using the two mounting fixture brackets included.
